I’m Tom De Angelis, a Personal Trainer, Father, husband and Preventative Health proponent.

​

When it comes to my clients and their health, I love being the one they turn to when times are tough. I'm there to help them be successful, notice the positives, and keep the momentum going, even when they don't have the motivation.

I wasn't always the best role model when it came to health and fitness.

Growing up I saw my parents struggle with their weight and the shame they felt when plans like Weight Watchers didn't work. As I entered adulthood, I found myself caught in a cycle of restrictive diets and intense workout routines, only to eventually crash and fall off the wagon. The constant ups and downs took a toll on my body and mind. 

It wasn't until I became a father and took a hard look at my lifestyle that I began to explore deeper, educate myself and make meaningful changes that improved both my physical and mental health.

I've spent the last decade diving deep into why we do what we do.

When I became a Dad, I became seriously committed to coaching, education and applying what I was learning. It was no longer just about my personal goals; I wanted to set a great example for my daughter and son.

One of the most important lessons I learned was to stop seeking instant gratification. I began to reflect on why I wanted to skip workouts, or indulge in certain foods. I became attuned to how these choices made me feel. Yes, there are times I know that indulging will leave me feeling bad the next day, but I allow myself to enjoy these moments occasionally still. Afterall, life is about balance.

Now I have a clearer understanding of what truly works for me. I no longer avoid or try to fix things that don't align with my wellbeing and that of my family.

Now I have the knowledge and the solid gameplan that helps me achieve the way i want to feel and look each day.

 

I no longer let insecurities hold me back or waste time dwelling on why I am not at my best some days. Health and fitness are no longer unchecked items on my to-do list. I understand the positive impact of taking care of myself and I want you to experience that too.
